Hill and Knowlton Canada is slated to receive an award from the National Quality Institute (NQI) on October 24th in Toronto.
In a press release issued by the PR firm on September 18th Lisa Walker writes “In meeting the rigour of the criteria in the Excellence Framework, Hill & Knowlton is recognized by NQI as one of Canada's best-run organizations. To win the award, H&K displayed outstanding performance in the area of Quality.”

Okay, wait a minute here. Upon checking NQI’s site for further information, one would find that the CEO of Hill and Knowlton, Michael Coates, sits on the Board of Governors for NQI – the very board that – with all likelihood – decides upon which “rigorous” criteria is part of this so-called Excellent Framework.

Hmm, interesting. Perhaps a better fit would be to award Hill and Knowlton as one of Canada’s best-spun organizations.
